The Ultraphonic Jazz Orchestra is a big band with a big sound. The tunes range from swinging standards to transcriptions of Pat Metheny and other contemporary favorites. Leader/drummer John Akal calls great sets that feature the group’s fantastic soloists. Vocalist Linda Theus-Lee thrills the audience, and every tune features the dynamic rhythm section and powerful horns.
The Spotlight Band is a fantastic dance/variety band, with a deep and ever-expanding songbook. This band plays weddings, parties, corporate functions — any event that needs great music. Unlike most “cover bands,” The Spotlight Band welcomes requests. Full of outstanding musicians, this band can play anything. You’ll see what I mean if you take a look at the songlist online — literally, anything. If you want to get people on the dance floor, or if you want to hear your favorite rock, motown, swing, hip hop, pop, country, jam band … whatever song, this is your band.
